World AIDS Day

Support World AIDS Day

Today is World AIDS Day. With RENT having been released recently we are reminded that NORMAL people get AIDS in all sorts of ways. There have been many movies over the years which featured AIDS and depicted the characters as fairly normal - in that they represent the type of people we encounter every day. PHILADELPHIA was a prime example. KIDS, LOVE! VALOR! AND COMPASSION!, JEFFREY, ANGELS IN AMERICA, LEAVING METROPOLIS and many others are other movies that do a good job of portraying AIDS in everyday society. There’s dozens of others, and your opinion of these movies may differ.

Remember, today is about remembering that we are still struggling to combat this disease. Not only in curing it, but in stemming it’s spread.

King Kong Trailer

I just watched the final version of the KING KONG trailer from Apple. It’s pretty amazing. It’s starts out slow with a voice over by Jack Black, but it ends with some really amazing footage. If they’re giving us this in the trailer, the movie is going to rock.
