This weekend a local theater ran the original Indiana Jones movie - Raiders of the Lost Ark and got a great turnout. Some friends and I went to see it on Saturday night and I was reminded how much fun this movie is. There’s some bad writing, campy acting and outright silly moments, but I think in part that’s what has made this movie the hit it is.

There’s no debating that this movie has a place in history. Reviving the Nazi’s as the bad-guys during a time when Germany was moving towards reunification, classic Ameri-centric story line, chauvinist behaviour and yet they get away with it and make it work!

Indy will long have a place in my heart, and it may not be the best movie ever made, but it’s undeniably fun to watch!
